Welcome
Are you interested in scholarships?! Learn more by checking out our pages!
The different pages give basic information on scholarships and different ones that are available based on different qualifications that people may have. Below is a summary of each article - just click on the name to be taken to that page.
Start Your Search - This page provides links to different scholarships based on qualifications that people may have such as diversity, financial need/first to go to college in your family, military, Florida residency, specific majors, parents who are government/postal workers, and scholarship search engines. A subcategory of this page is the Study Abroad Scholarships page.
The Basics - Before you apply for a scholarship, it's important to understand the scholarship system, which is why we've provided an explanation of the three types of scholarships in this section: merit, financial need, and diversity, along with some basic advice.
Scholarship Handicaps - We understand that many people may feel that they're at a disadvantage when applying for scholarships, such as not having provable financial need. Here's some advice from our own experiences on how to overcome these handicaps.
The Club - This page is a description of the Students for Scholarships club at the University of South Florida, the source of all this information! The club is designed to help USF students (along with members of the community and others!) become more competitive applicants and learn about scholarship opportunities, with the ultimate goal of making sure an inability to pay doesn't keep students from getting an education.
